Bat skull threads onto ring setting. Fabricated thread, no tap and dies used. More of a sketch in metal than anything, terrible design…good practice

I have unfortunately run out of actual dead cockroaches, and I’m not ready to move on. So, naturally…Rhino saves the day .

My submission for the ring smack down this year. I’m excited. “Effigy Ring” Lost cockroach casting in Sterling, brass, bronze, seed pearl, cubic zirconia, acrylic. Hand fabricated. @danacadesignstudio #battleoftherings2024 #ringsmac

Lots to do still. Seed pearls will wreathe the outside of the locket, and the hanging elements are still in planning. The star serves as the protective Pentangle and bail. the same symbol found on Sir Gawain’s shield. Everything is hand carved

New piece in the works. Needed to work a drawing to figure out how to finish the “star” bail I fabricated from sheet. I think I’m calling this one “Lover’s Locket”. #artjewellery #artjewelry #metalsmith #metalsmith
